About Ashman
Ashman Elementary (grades K-2) has a proven track record of producing high academic student achievement. It has been named a high-performing Title One School, has received North West Evaluation Association’s Growth Achievement Award in 2009, and during the 2009-2011 school years was one of 5 elementary schools chosen to pilot a teacher performance pay model for the State of Utah. The school serves a student population of approximately 500 students, and employs 21 full-time teachers and 20 part-time support staff. The school was built in 1951 and was significantly restructured in 2011. It is named after the district’s first Superintendent, A.J. Ashman.
